COACH CHRISTY DOILE REFLECTIONS:
Ø “Very talented volleyball players in the Roundhouse this past weekend. Several kids committed and/or are being recruited by the DI and DII levels for both beach and indoor volleyball. Many of these players were also blessed with height, including the tallest athlete being six-foot-four playing for Maize South.”
Ø “We do not have any players over six-foot, so we tried to be scrappy and competitive.”
Ø “Leading our offensive attack was outside hitter Harper Rierson, who just kept swinging and mixing up her shots against big blocks.”
Ø “Our defense was led by Carmin and Elles Pavlovich. They both had outstanding serve/receive ratings, with Carmin taking the most receives with 86 attempts and an amazing 2.45 rating.”
Ø “Riley Whitfield ran the offense from the set position where she got key blocks on talented, taller opponents and contributed setter dumps for points.”
Ø Elles Pavlovich led our team in aces and played with poise during her first varsity matches as a freshman libero.”
