MINNEAPOLIS – On Tuesday, the Smoky Valley track/field teams headed north to beat the weather and get a track/meet in at Minneapolis where Breanne Peters won a pair of events while Ki Blanchat and Brayden Eyer each won one.

 

Peters scored a season best in winning the 200 meters while also winning the triple jump and finishing second in the long jump.

 

The quartet of Katja Blanchat, Esther Clark, Taytum Reed, and Sophia Eyer scored a team win in the 4x800 meter relay.

 

Overall, the Lady Vikings had 13 top six finishes in which they recorded season bests in seven.

 

No team standings were available.

 

For the Viking boys, they were led by Ki Blanchat and Brayden Eyer who scored individual wins and set season best times  in the 800- and 400-meters, respectively.

 

Eyer and Blanchat teamed up with Kaden Bishop and Samuel Peterson to win both the  4x400 and 4x800 meter relays and set a season best time in the 4x400.

 

Joining Eyer at the medal ceremony for the 400 metes were Bishop and Peterson who finished third and sixth while both setting  season best times as well.
