LINDSBORG – On Friday, the Smoky Valley hosted a track/field invitational that was run in Salina and Lady Viking Breanne Peters dominated the meet, winning three gold medals and finishing second in another.
Running away from the field in the 100 meters, Breanne Peters also won both the long jump and triple jump while placing second in the pole vault.
Esther Clark also won a gold for the Lady Viking when she took first in the mile run.
The best finish for the Viking boys came in the 4x800 meter relay where Smoky Valley finished third, while Gavin Stambaugh took fourth in the 200 meters and Auley Boughfman finished fourth in the triple jump.
The Smoky Valley track/field teams will be back on the competitive track/field on Friday at Halstead.
