LOCAL VFW DONATES TO MCPHERSON CENTER FOR HEALTH

Recently the McPherson VFW Post 2715 gave a generous donation to McPherson Center for Health designated to purchase new chairs for the hospital’s Outpatient Infusion Center.
With the donation the Infusion Center is now able to comfortable able to provide seating for family members and loved ones who accompany patients during infusion treatments.
Many infusion appointments last for several hours, and the new chairs provide a welcoming place for visitors to remain close to those who are receiving care.
“Our patients often rely on the support of family and friends during treatment,” noted Sarah Baker, RN Director of MedSurg and ICU. “Thanks to the generosity of VFW Post 2715, we are able to provide a more comfortable environment for both our patients and the loved ones who are by their side. We are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to serving our community.”
The addition of the chairs enhance the Infusion Center by creating a more supportive and compassionate atmosphere for everyone who enters the department.
While patients receive treatment, family members now hav a comfortable place to sit, visit, read, or simply be present during their loved one’s care.
McPherson Center for Health appreciates the VFW’s ongoing dedication to improving the lives of those in the McPherson Community. Their generosity will positively impact countless patients and families for years to come.
