LADY REDSKINS ONE GAME FROM STATE TOURNEY TRIP

LITTLE RIVER – On Saturday, the Little River girls continued to roll toward a state tournament trip when they hosted Burden/Central in their first sub-state game and scored a 65-point, 77-12 win.
With the win the Lady Redskins, who are the top-seed in their sub-state and 19-0 for the season, will now play fourth seeded Madison on Friday, March 7, with the winner earning a trip to the Class 1A Division I state tournament.

With the game never in doubt, Little River shot lights out, hitting 16-of-26 on two pointers and 12-of-22 from beyond the three-point line while recording 19 assists on the 28 made field goals. Defensively, the lady Redskins scored 25 steals while turning the ball over just seven times themselves.
Arika Feldman had a monster night, connecting on 10-of-13 from beyond the three-point line while scoring a career high 38 points.
Evie Look and Saelyn Raleigh each reached double digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Adelynne Strecker dished out nine assists while having the quickest hands-on defense in grabbing eight steals. Four Lady Redskins, Feldman, Avery Lafferty, and Havana Olander each made four steals with Lafferty leading the way on the boards with seven rebounds.
