LADY REDSKINS REMAIN UNBEATEN, BEAT C/G and ELYIRA

LITTLE RIVER – The Little River girls remain unblemished as the number one team in Class 1A Division I after scoring two wins this past week over area teams Canton/Galva on Tuesday and Elyria Christian on Friday.
With the win, the Lady Redskins raised the season record to 17-0 as they prep for the final full week of the 2024/25 regular season with road games at Inman on Tuesday and Olpe on Friday.

On Tuesday at Canton/Galva, Little River took control early with an 18-2 first quarter lead before ballooning it up to a 29-point, 33-4, advantage at the halftime break. After pushing the lead to 37 points, 47-10, after three quarters the Lady Redskins closed out the final 34-point, 53-19 victory.
Arika Feldman led the Lady Redskins in scoring with a game high 18 points while Havana Olander and Saelyn Raleigh each reached double digits as well with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
On Friday, in the final home game of the regular season, the Lady Redskins hosted Elyria Christian where they ran out to a 20-point, 27-7, lead by the end of the first quarter and held a commanding 31-point, 42-11, advantage at the halftime break. After reaching a lead of 44 points, 59-15, by the end of the third quarter, Little River settled in for the final 36-point, 67-31 win.
Arika Feldman had a monster game as she connected on three, three-pointers in scoring a game high 29 points to go with a pair of assists, four rebounds, and five steals.
Both Adelynne Strecker and Saelyn Raleigh chipped in the with eight points each as Strecker led the Lady Redskins by dishing out seven assists and Raleigh had the quickest hands while on defense with six steals. As a team, Little River forced Elyria into making 25 turnovers.
