LADY REDSKINS ROLL AGAIN, BEAT ST. JOHN BY 28

            LITTLE RIVER – On Saturday, the Little River girls’ basketball team won game number seven and remained as the unbeaten top-ranked team in Class 1A Division I by beating St. John by 28, 49-21 in front of the home crowd in Little River.

            After flying out to a 15-point, 21-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Redskins pushed the advantage to 21 points, 29-8 by the time they reached the halftime break. Outscoring St. John 20-13 in the final two quarters enabled the Lady Redskins to cruise to the final 28-point victory.

            Havana Olander led the team in scoring with 15 points while also grabbing five rebounds and making three steals. Avery Lafferty also reached double digits in scoring with 11, Saelyn Raleigh just missed double digits with nine. Arika Feldman led the Lady Redskins under the basket by grabbing a game high eight rebounds and making a pair of blocks. Adelynne Strecker led the team in assists with four.
