DODGE CITY – The offense sputtered much of the game for the Little River girls as they fell short of a state Class 1A Division I state championship on Saturday with a 43-50 loss to Centralia.

With the loss the Lady Redskins close out the 2024/25 season 23-1 while Centralia finished unbeaten at 26-0.

Despite falling behind  by five, 8-13, at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Redskins managed to bounce back enough to take a one-point, 25-24, lead heading into the halftime break. Centralia came out in the third quarter and outscored Little River 17-5 to take an 11-point, 41-30, advantage into the final quarter where they closed out the final seven-point upset win over the Lady Redskins.

When the offense struggles with a 12-of-44 shooting from the field and just 10-of-21 at the free throw line, you know it will be a struggle to win. Everywhere else, the stats were even between the two unbeaten, high-powered teams.

Arika Feldman closed out the season with a huge game as she led the Lady Redskins in scoring with 15 points which included four three-pointers, while also recording a double-double by pulling down 11 rebounds and blocking six shots. Evie Look just missed double digits in the scorebook with nine and Havana Olander chipped in with seven rebounds.
