INMAN – After going 4-1 in their season opening tournament on Saturday, the Inman High volleyball team continued their winning ways on Tuesday by sweeping a pair of matches at home from Centre and Canton/Galva.
In a modified quad at home on Tuesday, the Lady Teutons played Centre and Canton/Galva with Wichita Classical being the fourth team and playing Centre and Canton/Galva.
It was complete dominance by the Lady Teutons against Centre as they devoured the visitors in straight sets, 25-4 and 25-6.
Suttyn Harris and Chloe Schmidt each had five kills for Inman, plus Harris scored 10 service aces and Schmidt made three blocks. Senior setter Kambrey Woods reached double digits in assists with 15 as well.

In the second battle of the evening, the Lady Teutons handled Canton/Galva in a straight set win, 25-8, 25-16, led by Kambrey Woods with 21 assists, giving her 36 for the day.
Harris again led the team in kills with seven while Schmidt had three blocks. Both Kenna Woods and Harris made four service aces while Morgan and Taylor Froese each had three.
“The girls played solid all night,” noted Lady Teuton head coach Kristi Froese. “They were able to keep the momentum going and served the ball well.”
Coach Froese looked back at the weekend tournament to open the 2023 season and explained, “I feel we ran out of gas against Sedgwick, though all three sets were close.”
Because stats were not available when we posted the story about the tournament, the Lady Teuton coaches wanted to share that Suttyn Harris led the team all day in number of kills followed closely by Morgan Froese.
They also pointed out Kambrey Woods led in assists during the tournament and Morgan Froese dominated the net in leading the team in blocks.
The Lady Teutons now has a week off before hosting Bennington at home on Tuesday, September 5.
