WOODS LEADS INMAN IN SCORING

          INMAN = With Kenna Woods leading the offense, Inman girls’ basketball has opened the 2025-26 season with a pair of wins and a pair of losses.

 

          The Lady Teutons opened the 2025/26 season with a 34-point, 55-21 pounding of Minneapolis on Friday, December 5 before going 1-2 at the Moundridge tournament, losing to Hillsboro by six, getting a 37-point victory over Lyons and then losing to Moundridge.

 

          We have a story, plus scoring and stats for the games here:

 

          Next up for the Lady Teutons will be pair of road games at Kingman on Tuesday, December 16 and at Wichita Central Christian Academy on Friday, December 19.

 

FRIDAY, DEC. 5 – vs Minneapolis

          The Inman girls’ basketball team opened their 2025/26 season with a huge 34-point, 55-21, thumping of Minneapolis on Friday, December 5.

         

The Lady Teutons doubled up Minneapolis, 16-8, by the end of the first quarter and took a lead of 17 points, 30-13, into the halftime break.

         

After pushing the lead to 42-16 at the end of the third quarter, Inman rolled on in for the final 55-21 victory.

         

Kenna Woods  was the only Lady Teuton with double digits on the score sheet as she led the team with 14 as nine Lady Teutons put at least a pair of points by their name in the scorebook.

SCORING = Lady Teutons won 55-21

Lady Teutons = 16-14-12-13 = 55; Minneapolis = 8-5-3-5 = 21

Scoring (55) = Kenna Woods – 14; Ellie Thimmesch – 8; Allison Schrag – 7; Morgan Froese, Madi Parsons – 6; Raynee Eddy – 5; Leah Black – 4; Ella Tatro – 3; Brooklyn Black – 2.

TUESDAY, DEC. 9 – vs. Hillsboro at Moundridge Tournament

          The Lady Teutons opened the Moundridge Tournament on Tuesday with a heart breaking four-point, 34-38 loss to Hillsboro.

 

          Inman fell behind by seven, 10-17, by the end of the first quarter before cutting the deficit to one at 23-24 heading to the halftime break. The Lady Teutons could only add a pair of points to the scoreboard in the third quarter and trailed by five heading into the final stanza before losing by four.

 

          Nobody made double digits in scoring though Ellie Thimmesch came close with nine.

SCORING = Lady Teutons lost 32-38.

Lady Teutons = 10-13-2-7 = 32; Hillsboro = 17-7-6-8 =38.

LADY TEUTON INDIVIDUAL STAT LEADERS =

Scoring (32) = Ellie Thimmesch – 9; Morgan Froese – 7; Kenna Woods – 6; Raynee Eddy – 5; Madi Parson – 4; Taylor Froese – 1.

THURSDAY, DEC. 11 – vs. Lyons at Moundridge Tournament

          Against Lyons, Kenna Woods, Raynee Eddy, and Morgan Froese all put double digits on the scoreboard as the Lady Teutons hammered away in gaining a 37-point, 71-34, win over Lyons on Thursday.

         

Inman jumped out to a 25-9 first quarter lead and continued to race out to gain a 42-14 advantage when the team broke for halftime. The Lady Teutons outscored Lyons 29-20 in the final two quarters in earning the final 37-point   victory.

         

Woods led the way with 16 while both Eddy and Froese chipped in with 12 as nine Inman girls put points by their name in the stat sheet.

SCORING = Lady Teutons won 71-34.

Lady Teutons = 25-17-19-10 = 71; Lyons = 9-5-14-6 = 34.

LADY TEUTON INDIVIDUAL STAT LEADERS =

Scoring (71) = Kenna Woods – 16; Raynee Eddy, Morgan Froese – 12; Allison Schrag – 8; Madi Parson, Taylor Froese – 6; Brooklyn Black – 4; Ellie Thimmesch – 3; Leah Black – 2.

3-Pointers Made (2) = Thimmesch, Woods – 1.

 

FRIDAY, DEC. 12 – vs. Moundridge at Moundridge Tournament

          Inman closed out the week by losing to county rival Moundridge 34-63.

         

The Lady Wildcats jumped all over the Lady Teutons early, leading 16-4 at the end of the first quarter and leading 31-15 at halftime before cruising in for the final Iman defeat.

         

Kenna Woods was the main offense for the Lady Teutons, scoring 17.

SCORING = Lady Teutons lost 34-63.

Lady Teutons = 4-11-4-15 = 34; Moundridge = 16-15-15-17 = 63.

LADY TEUTON INDIVIDUAL STAT LEADERS =

Scoring (34) = Kenna Woods – 17; Raynee Eddy, Ellie Thimmesch – 7; Taylor Froese – 5; Morgan Froese – 2; Madi Parson – 1.
