LADY BULLPUP SPIKERS GET TWO WINS

      On Tuesday, the McPherson volleyball team scored a pair of wins over Buhler and Augusta, bringing the season mark for the Lady Bullpups to 3-3.

      Next up for the spikers will be on the road Tuesday, September 8 at Winfield for a triangular with the Lady Vikings and El Dorado.

      Here is a snapshot of the matches on Tuesday:

MATCH vs. BUHLER

Lady Bullpups won  2-1= 19-25, 25-23, 25-18

Coach Doile Reflections: “Wowza, we got off to a slow start while Buhler was playing well in set 1.”

“Set 2 went back and forth, making it very hard for us coaches to remember all the plays.”

“We did miss seven serves in set 2, making our battle much more difficult though thankfully we hung on to win the set.”

“Set 3 we jumped out to a big lead and were able to maintain the lead. Carmin (Pavlovich) was the hot hitter in the match, carrying us with her high hitting percentage and kills.”

“The emotional effort from the bench and kids on the court was much improved from Saturday.”

MATCH vs. AUGUSTA

Lady Bullpups won 2-0 = 25-11, 25-11

Coach Doile Reflections = = “Against Augusta, we continued to keep in stride, despite a great effort by their large, loud student section that was trying to support their Oriole team.”

“We were able to get all players in, with highlights being senior Lily Vane serving an ace and senior Carmin  Pavlovich with a monster hit on the 10-foot line.”
