ELYRIA RUNNERS FINISH MONTH AT MARION

ELYRIA – The Elyria Christian cross-country team finished the month of September on Thursday running at the Marion Invitational where one Eagle earned a medal, and the boys finish fourth in the team standings.
For the Eagle boys’, they finished fourth with 85 points as host Marion won the team title with 31 points. Haven with 56 ran second in the team standings, El Dorado had 83 which was good for third and Wichita Defenders Homeschool rounded out the top five with 88.
Individually, the Eagles Mason Gardner had a season best time of 18:39.00 which placed him twelfth with a medal while Matthew Robinson ran twenty-sixth and Grant Huxman finished twenty-ninth. All six Eagles running set season best times.
For the Lady Eagles, the lone entrant was Londyn Olsen, and she ran eighteenth with a season best time of 26:33.00.
The Eagle runners will close out the 2024 regular season on Thursday, October 3 at the Berean Academy Invitational and then on Thursday, October 10 at the Goessel Invitational to be run in Newton.
