In their first match of the season, the Lady Eagles put away Wichita Classical in straight sets, winning 25-12 and 25-21.
Trinity Espinoza had a solid match with seven kills, seven digs and three service aces while newcomer by transfer, Raegan Hawkinson recorded a team high eight kills while getting six digs. Adi Alcala led the offense by dishing out 16 assists.
Nothing seemed to go right for Canton/Galva in the first set with Inman as the Lady Teutons humbled the Lady Eagles 8-21 before hanging on for a sweep of Canton/Galva with a second set win, 16-25. Trinity Espinoza led the team in kills with six.
According to coaches, the stat sheets did not upload properly so no other individual stats were available.
Next Tuesday, September 5, the Lady Eagle spikers will make their 2023 home debut as they host a quad with Peabody/Burns, Rural Vista, and Goessel coming to town.
