12 Players Break into Scoring Column

MOUNDRIDGE – The host team Moundridge boys remained unbeaten on the season Friday as they closed out the Moundridge Early Season Tournament with a resounding 64-36 win over Lyons.

Scoring 15 points in both of the first two quarters, the Wildcats held a six-point, 15-9 first quarter lead before making it a 13-point, 30-17 advantage going into the halftime break.

Putting another 16 and 18 points in the scorebook in the final two quarters while holding Lyons to just 19 gave the Wildcats the final 28-point victory.

Kreighton Kanitz led the team in scoring with 16 points while Henry Hecox also reached double digits with 12. Overall, all 12 Wildcats that suited up for the varsity put at least a pair of points in the scorebook and five, Barrett Moddelmog, Kaizer Kanitz, Fynn Burge, Kepple Adolf and London Ward all hit a three-pointer.

Now still undefeated at 4-0, the Moundridge boys will play host to a pair of basketball heavy hitters to close out the schedule before the Christmas break as they welcome Little River to town on Tuesday, December 12 and Cheney on Friday, December 15.
