WILDCATS RUN PAST TEUTONS 60-35

MOUNDRIDGE – It was business as usual for the Moundridge boys on the road to county rival Inman on Friday as they scored a decisive 60-35 win.

 

The Wildcats came out hot and scored a commanding 16-point, 26-10, lead by the end of the first quarter with both Kreighton Kanitz and Henry Hecox scoring eight points each.

 

After holding a 38-22 advantage at the halftime break, Moundridge  outscored the rival Teutons 22-13 in the final two quarters to gain the final 25-point victory.

 

Kreighton Kanitz led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 while both Hecox and Barrett Moddelmog chipped in with 11 and Layton Schmidt reached double digits as well with 10.

 

Now 11-2 for the season and ranked number fifth in Class 2A, the Wildcats will have a busy week ahead with a road game at Marion on Tuesday, and weather makeup game at home with Bennington on Thursday before closing out the week playing host to Hutchinson Trinity.
