MOUNDRIDGE – For the seventh week in a row the Moundridge football team scored a win on Friday evening, this time at home with a 48-0 shutout of Goessel.


For the season, the Wildcats remain unbeaten at 7-0 as they have outscored their opponents 356-32, with 20 of the opponent points coming in the game with Little River. The Moundridge defense has earned shutouts in four of the last five wins.


The Wildcats will close out the regular season schedule next Friday, October 20 on the road at Herington. Herington will bring a season mark of 5-2 to the game after they won a two-point, 28-26 game with Solomon on Friday.


Against Goessel, it was the Henry Hecox show as he scored four times on runs of nine, nineteen, twenty-eight, and thirty-two yards while completing three-of-five passing for 40 yards. Hecox concluded the night with 91 yards rushing on six carries.


Kreighton Kanitz scored the remaining two touchdowns on an eighteen-yard run and an eight-yard interception return to the end zone.


Kanitz also led the Wildcat defense with eight tackles while Joaquin Huff chipped in with six and Kaizer Kanitz had an interception.
