CANTON – On Thursday, the Moundridge boys scored a decisive 40-point, 73-33, win over Solomon in the first round of the Canton/Galva Tournament.

After taking a 13-1 lead into the second quarter, the Wildcats pushed the advantage to 21 points at 37-16 as the teams headed to the halftime break.

Scoring another 24 points in the third quarter, Moundridge put the game out of reach at 61-26 before finishing out with the final 40-point victory.

Only one Wildcat reached double digits as Kreighton Kanitz was unstoppable in scoring the same number of points as the opponent, 33. Jesse Lutz connected on three three-pointers and finished with nine.
