MARION – The Moundridge boys broke loose in the third quarter and rolled away with a 65-38 win over Marion on the road on Tuesday.
Now 12-2 for the season, the Wildcats will host Bennington in a weather delayed makeup game on Thursday before closing out the week hosting Hutchinson Trinity.
Against Marion, the Wildcats held a four-point, 17-13, lead at the end of the first quarter and took a 31-18 lead into the halftime break.
Coming out of the break, Moundridge poured 22 points on the scoreboard to take a commanding 53-26 advantage into the final eight minutes of play where they earned the final 27-point win.
Kreighton Kanitz led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 with both Barrett Moddelmog and Henry Hecox joining him in double digits with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
