LINDSBORG – The youngsters fought hard but came up short again as the Smoky Valley football team hosted Pratt and lost 51-6.

Now 0-6 for the season, the Vikings will attempt to gain their first win of the season next Friday, October 13 when they play host to Hillsboro. Hillsboro is 3-3 for the season with the loss on Friday to Southeast of Saline, 46-14.

The lone Viking score came in the final quarter on a short run by freshman Christian Erickson. Juniors Gavin Stambaugh and Ezekiel Baker led the Vikings in rushing with 62 and 37 yards as they rolled up 158 yards on the ground. Stambaugh also led the team in tackles on defense with five.
