LINDSBORG – When you host one of the best teams in the state with a team that is very young, you can expect a tough outcome, but top ranked Andale came to town and handed the Smoky Valley football team a very large humbling game, beating the Vikings 74-0.

Now 0-4, the Vikings will have their work cut out for them to find a win next week as they travel to Cheney who is 4-0 and currently ranked third in Class 3A. Cheney won 49-0 over Pratt on Friday.

Sophomore Viking quarterback Ty Heitschmidt did his best to keep the team in the game as he threw 16 passes but completed just four while throwing three interceptions.

Junior Ezekiel Baker led the Viking defense with six tackles with freshman Christian Erickson making four stops.
