LINDSBORG – Despite playing what could have been their best game of the season, the young Smoky Valley football team still came up short at home on Friday in losing to Hillsboro 45-22.

At home on Friday, the Vikings were led by junior Gavin Stambaugh as he ran for 96 yards and two scores on 17 carries while also returning three kickoff returns for another 61 yards.
