LINDSBORG – At the Central Kansas League Meet on Saturday, the Smoky Valley boys wrestling team finished fourth and earned three individual league championships.

The team finished fourth with 100.5 points which placed them fourth behind league champion Pratt, Hoisington, and Lyons, and ahead of Haven. Other teams competing were Halstead, Larned, Nickerson, Hesston, and Hillsboro.

Wrestling without their third ranked wrestler in state at 175, Parker Gardner, due to  injury, the Vikings still had three league champions in Geovanni Luis at 190, Takoda Hauck at 138, and  Connor Barnes at 132. All three went 5-0 for the day with Barnes performing like the fourth ranked wrestler in Class 4A that he is.
