TEUTONS WIN 2, MAKE TOURNEY CHAMPIONSHIP

BURRTON – After two weeks of weather delays, the Inman boys returned to the competitive courts on Wednesday and Thursday at the Burrton Tournament where they scored a pair of wins over Pretty Prairie and Central Christian to put themselves into the Saturday Championship matchup with Berean Academy.

On Wednesday, the Teutons nipped Pretty Prairie by one, 42-41 for a decisive win.

After being up by five, 13-8, at the end of the first quarter, Inman stretched the lead to eight at 29-21 going into the halftime break before holding on in the final two quarters to get the final one-point victory.

Zach Martisko had the hot offensive hand for the Teutons by scoring 19 while Kellen Schrag hit for 12.

On Thursday, the Teutons improved their overall mark to 5-4 with a solid 14-point, 38-24 win over Central Christian.

Leading by five, 10-5, at the end of the first quarter, Central Christian powered back to tie the game at 17-17 at the halftime break and kept the game tied at 21-21 after three quarters before the Teutons poured 17 points into the scorebook in the final eight minutes to earn the final 14-point victory.

Carsten Seidl was the lone Inman player in double digits with 12 while Tyler Martisko just missed with nine.
