Girls get Win, Boys Lose

INMAN – It was a split of games at home with Bennington to finish the 2023-24 regular season for the Inman boys and girls as the boys lost by 25, 31-56 and the girls rallied for a 52-46 win.
The Lady Teutons finishes the regular season at 14-6 and will now play at sub-state as the fifth seed where they will Chase County, the fourth seed (14-5) in Cottonwood Falls on Monday, February 26 at 7:00 pm. If they win, Inman will then play the winner of third-seed Berean Academy (15-5) and sixth-seed Ell-Saline (11-9) on Thursday, February 29 in Marion.
With the loss, the Teuton boys close out the regular season at 7-13. They will be the seventh seed at the Marion sub-state, beginning with a battle at Brookville on Tuesday, February 27 playing second-seed Ell-Saline (16-4). If the Teuton boys win they will then tangle with the winner of the game between third-seeded Chase County (13-6) and sixth-seeded Marion (8-12) on Friday, March 1.

INMAN TEUTON BOYS hosting Bennington
The Teutons fell behind by seven, 8-15, by the end of the first quarter and trailed by 15, 14-29 at the halftime break before losing by the final margin of 25 points, 31-56.
Kellen Schrag and Carsten Seidl each reached double digits in scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

INMAN LADY TEUTONS hosting Bennington
For the Lady Teutons, they fell behind early, down by five, both at the end of the first quarter, 10-15 and at the halftime break, 23-28. Still down by five at the end of the third quarter, 36-41, Inman tightened up the defense and held Bennington to just five points in the final eight minutes while putting 16 on the scoreboard themselves to rally and get the final six-point, 52-46 victory.
Suttyn Harris, Raynee Eddy, and Taelyn Friesen tied for the team high in scoring with each putting 11 points in the scorebook. Friesen hit three three-pointers.
