KINGMAN – After trailing for three of four quarters, the Inman boys powered back in the final quarter and overtime to pull out an eight-point, 56-48 win on the road at Kingman on Tuesday.

Kingman jumped out early to take a 7-15 lead over the Teutons and held a seven-point, 16-23 advantage at the halftime break.

The Teutons chipped away at the lead but still trailed 29-33 after three quarters before pulling even at 40-40 at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime where Inman connected on 11-of-16 free throws to score the eight-point win.

“We played well,” pointed out Teuton head coach Brett Froese in his post-game reflections. “Kingman is physical and really pushed the boards. We did a much better job on the glass in the second half. We were able to make some plays in the overtime to pull out the win. I was very proud of the guys.”

TJ Froese led the scoring for Inman with 18 points that included a three-pointer and going five-of-eight at the free throw line in overtime. Zach Martisko scored 15 points and added a pair of two-pointers plus two-for-two at the free throw line in overtime. Kellen Schrag chipped in with 13 points and Brody Froese just missed double digits with nine.

Now 3-2 for the season, the Teutons will host Conway Springs on Friday to finish out their pre-Christmas part of the schedule.
