TEUTONS LOSE AT HOME TO STERLING

Battle Hutchinson Trinity Next

INMNA – Getting back on the competitive court after the holiday break proved to be a bit of a struggle for the Inman boys as thy hosted Sterling on Tuesday and lost 28-59.

 

The Teutons could only put four points on the board in the first quarter as the Black Bears scored 16. Sterling put another 16 on the board in the second quarter while holding Inman to just eight, giving the Teutons a 20-point, 12-32, deficit heading into the halftime break.

 

In the final two quarters, Sterling rang up another 27 points to just 16 for Inman, giving the Black Bears the final 31-point victory.

 

No Teutons scored in double digits as Zach Martisko and Carston Seidl led the team in scoring with eight and seven points, respectively.

 

As a team the Teutons made just nine two-pointers, a pair of three-pointers and only four free throws while the Black Bears hit on 13 two-pointers, seven three-pointers and made 12-of-19 free throws.

 

Ow 3-4 for the season, the Teutons are off until next Tuesday, January 9 when they go on the road to battle with Hutchinson Trinity.
