BENNINGTON – Running south of Minneapolis at Rock City Park, the Inman cross country team earned three medals in a meet hosting by Bennington.

“This course is hillier than any courses we have run yet this season,” noted Teuton head coach Jay Parsons. “Despite that, it did not seem to be something that was going to keep some of the runners from running their season best times.”

For the Inman boys, Tyler Martisko and Riley Roots placed sixth and eighth as both broke the nineteen-minute marks by running times of 18:01.50 and 18:20.40, respectively, earning them both medals for the meet.

Addison Wedel led the Lady Teutons running in the event where she ran well enough to bring home yet another medal for placing fifteenth. Abigail Siemens and Lacie Baxter also ran for the Lady Teutons but finished outside the range of earning a medal.

For the junior high Teutons, Loki Turcotte finished well enough to bring home a medal by finishing fifth.

Coach Parsons concluded his post run reflections by adding, “This race was definitely a test of desire and stamina. It is the most challenging course we have run this season.”

Next up for the Inman cross country runners will be on Thursday, September 21 at the Marion Invitational.
