VIKINGS LOSE TO HAVEN 42-16

HAVEN - Smoky Valley took the football road trip Friday to Haven where they dodged the weather before taking a 16-42 loss.
The Vikings were down 21-0 at the halftime break before they managed to score 10 in the third quarter and another six in the fourth to reach the final score.
Gavin Stambaugh had 161 yards on 22 carries to lead the Viking offense which rang up 241 yards on 54 plays with 18 first downs. Ezekiel Baker added another 50 yards rushing on 20 carries, both he and Stambaugh scored for Smoky Valley.
On defense, the Vikings were led by Crew Elliott and Ezekiel Baker with seven and six total tackles, respectively.
The Vikings take their 1-2 season mark into a home matchup on Friday against Wichita Trinity Academy. The Knights are 0-4 for the season after losing 41-33 to Kingman on Friday.
