CLARK, WILLEMS WILL RUN AT STATE FOR LADY VIKINGS

LINDSBORG – On Saturday, the Lady Viking cross country team found success at their Class 3A Regionals as the team finished fourth and both Esther Clark and Hope Willems qualified to run at the upcoming State Meet.
Clark finished second overall with a time of 18:36.80 while Willems qualified with her eleventh-place finish, running a time of 20:02.10.
Other Lady Vikings running with their times and how they finished include Sophia Eyer (20:51.10, 21st); Emma Chaput (21:00.20, 25th); Sophia Fruits (21:40.40, 35th); Gracia Peterson (23:57.40, 55th); and Roxie Riedel (24:07.80, 57th).
For the Viking boys, no runners qualified for state as Kaden Bishop had the highest finish with a time of 18:02.80 which placed him at twenty-eighth.
The rest of the Vikings boys were Isaiah Ayala (19:08.83, 52nd); Charlie Bowman (20:23.90, 74th); Henry Bowman (20:48.49, 80th); and Connor Frees (22:00.31, 84th).
The Viking boys finished eleventh in the team standings.
