SOLOMON – Foul troubles hindered the Little River boys on Tuesday as they lost a road game at Solomon, 42-59.

After holding a two-point, 12-10, lead at the end of the first quarter, the Redskins only mustered seven points in the second quarter and watched  as the Gorillas took a seven-point, 19-26 lead into the halftime break.

Foul troubles, including losing Logan Renken in the fourth quarter and having several key players playing with three or four fouls, hindered the second half play by Little River as they could not play catch up and ended up losing by 17.

Renken and Blayne Baldetti tied for the team high in points with 13 each while Renken just missed a double-double before fouling out with nine rebounds as well.

As a team, Little River dominated the rebounding with 33 total, 18 of which came on the offensive end and 15 on the defensive end.

It was turnovers and fouls where the game was lost as the Redskins committed 14 turnovers and were whistled for fouls 20 times.

The loss drops the Redskins to 6-6 on the season as they now prep to host Centre on Friday.
