REDSKINS PERFORM WELL AT STERLING RELAYS

Teams Earn 5 First-Place Medals

STERLING – On Friday, the Little River track/field teams rolled down the road to Sterling where they performed well, including three first place medals for the Redskin boys and a pair for the Lady Redskins.

For the Redskin boys, Andrew Smith won the 200 meters while running second in both the 100- and 400-meters. The Redskins also took first in both the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays while placing second in the 4x100 relay.

Christopher Norez and Cole Dieball also finished second in the javelin and discus, respectively.

For the Lady Redskins, they had a pair of first place finishes in the field events as Kate Ellwood won the pole vault and Havana Olander had the best jump in the triple jump.

Alaina Eck ran second in the 400 meters and third in the 100 meters while Ashley Stephenson and Abby Schroeder ran third in the 800 and 1,600 meters. Havana Olander came in second in the 100-meter hurdles and the Lady Redskins ran second in the 4x400 meter relay as well.
