REDSKIN TRACKSTERS OPEN 2024 SEASON

MOUNDRIDGE – The Little River track/field teams opened their 2024 season on Thursday running, throwing, and jumping at the McPherson County Early Season Track/Field Invitational hosted by Moundridge.

The Lady Redskins lone gold came from a win by the 4x100 relay team, though Aubrey Olander ran second in the 300-meter hurdles and third  in the 100-meter hurdles. Havana Olander finished third in the 100-meter hurdles while also jumping for a second-place finish in the triple jump and gaining a third-place medal in the long jump.

Also earning a second-place finish was the 4x400 meter relay quarter, plus Kate Ellwood finished third in the pole vault.

Andrew Smith earned a first-place finish in the  100 meters to lead the Little River boys before also placing second in the 400 meters and high jump.

Also placing second in an event was  the quartet Redskins running the 4x800 meter relay, Jhet Ewertt in the triple jump and Christopher Norez in the javelin.
