WILDCATS TAKE TWO FROM BEREAN

            MOUNDRIDGE – On Tuesday, the Moundridge boys’ and girls’ basketball teams hosted Berean Academy where the Wildcat boys gained a ten-point, 51-41 victory and the Lady Wildcats

            The Lady Wildcats are now 12-2 and ranked third in Class 2A while the Wildcat boys are 14-0 and still ranked number one in Class 2A. Both teams will go on the road Friday to Marion.

 

            Leading 11-8 at the end of the first quarter, the Wildcats went into the halftime break with a seven-point, 27-20, advantage. Coming out of the break they pushed just enough to outscore Berean Academy 10-8 in the third quarter and 14-13 in the fourth and earn the final 10-point win.

 

            The Wildcat boys were led  by Bear Moddelmog, Zach Dixon, and  Heath  Churchill who scored 12, 11, and 10 points, respectively.

 

            Cammi Unruh led the Lady Wildcats as  she scored 24 points while making five steals and grabbing four rebounds.
