MODDELMOG REACHES 1,000 CAREER POINTS as WILDCATS BURY WCCA BY 50

MOUNDRIDGE – As the top ranked team in Class 2A and two-time defending state champions, the Moundridge boys’ basketball team hosted Wichita Central Christian Academy on Tuesday, and rolled to a 50-point, 75-25 victory highlighted by the Wildcats Bear Moddelmog reaching his 1,000-career point mark.
It was a show of absolute power over the out manned WCCA as the Wildcats powered out to a 31-point, 35-4 lead by the end of the first quarter, where Moddelmog scored 16 of his game high 20 points, including all four of his three-pointers.
After carrying a 47-10 advantage into the halftime break, Moundridge continued to outscore WCCA, 28-15, in the final two quarters to finish out the 50-point win.

Besides Moddelmog, Heath Churchill and Henry Hecox also reached double digits with 15 and 10 points respectively as head coach Dustan Kanitz cleared the bench giving all ten players suited up an opportunity to score at least a pair of points.
Now 8-0 for the season, the Wildcats will travel to Wichita to battle Wichita Classical School on Friday, January 17.
