Churchill wins Pair of 1st-Place Medals

HILLSBORO – On Friday, the Moundridge track/field teams ran, threw and jumped at the James Thomas Invitational, a 17-team meet hosted by Hillsboro.

The Lady Wildcats finished seventh with 48 team points, well behind team champion Inman with 98.

Cammi Unruh had a first-place finish in the long jump as the Lady Wildcats also placed second in a pair of events and third in three.

The Wildcat boys placed fourth in the team standings with 47 points as Berean Academy won with 85.

Heath Churchill scored nearly half the team points by finishing first in both the high jump and 110-meter hurdles. Henry Hecox won the javelin.
