LADY WILDCATS CLOSE REGULAR SEASON WITH PAIR OF WINS

            MOUNDRIDGE – The Moundridge girls closed out their 2024/25 regular season on Thursday and Friday with a pair of wins over Hutchinson Trinity and Remington.

 

            Now 18-2 for the season, the Lady Wildcats are ranked number two in Class 2A while being the top seed in their upcoming sub-state tournament. Moundridge will begin sub-state on Friday, February 28 hosting Ell-Saline, the sixteenth seed with a record of just 1-19. The Lady Wildcats defeated Ell-Saline in early February. If they win, they will then play the winner between Hillsboro (8 seed, 12-7) and Salina Sacred heart (9 seed, 10-8).

            Hosting Hutchinson Trinity on Thursday, the Lady Wildcats scored a 63-point, 74-11, rout as the team capitalized on 11 made three pointers. Junior Cammi Unruh led the team in scoring with 18 while freshman Mackie Conkling  had 17 and sophomore Addy Patrick had 15. Patrick scored all her points on five three-pointers.

 

            Turning around to go on the road to Remington on Friday, the Lady Wildcats earned another win, this time by 14 points, 46-32.

 

            Addy Patrick led the offense with 15 points with both Macy Kaminkow and Mackie Conkling each just missing double digits with nine points each.
