UNRUH, KAMINKOW LEAD LADY WILDCATS TO 35-POINT WIN

            MOUNDRIDGE – Friday, after a three-week holiday break, the third-ranked team in Class 2A girls, Moundridge,   opened up the 2025 side of the schedule with a resounding 35-point, 72-37 win over Sterling.

            Going up by nine, 20-11, by the end of the first quarter, the Lady Wildcats pushed out to an 18-point, 35-17, advantage over the Lady Black Bears by the time the two teams hit the halftime break. Sterling knocked four points off the lead by the end of the third, 47-33, before Moundridge busted out a 25-point fourth quarter to reach the final 35-point victory.

            Cammi Unruh led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with 19 points while also making a game high seven steals. Macy Kaminkow recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with six steals. Also reaching double digits in the score column was Addy Patrick who finished with 11 points while Hattie Hecox had an impressive score line by her name with nine points, team high four assists, five rebounds and three steals.

            Now 6-1 for the season, the Lady Wildcats will host Wichita Central Christian Academy on Tuesday, January 14 before hosting Garden Plain on Friday, January 17.
