Lowery, Sandbo Led McPherson to Wins

MCPHERSON – Last Monday the McPherson Middle School girls basketball team hosted Circle and scored a pair of decisive wins.

In the Junior Lady Pups eighth grade ‘A’ team battle, they moved to 8-1 on the season as they demolished Circle with a 31-point, 35-4 win led by Amarie Lowery and Audra Sandbo with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Besides leading the team in scoring, the pair also both recorded eight steals while Sandbo also dished out four assists and tied Karlie Cooper for hauling in rebounds with seven.

The 8th-grade Junior Lady Pup ‘B’ team remained unbeaten at 9-0 as they scored a shutout win of 21-0.

Allison Randa led the ‘B’ team in scoring with eight points while both Jersey Alexander and Jaylinn Major each hit for four.

Next up for the two 8th-grade Junior Lady Pups will be on Tuesday, November 28 on the road at Clearwater.
