PEABODY – With weather making it rough to get on the competitive court for the 2024 parts of the schedule, the Little River boys made  it worth the wait on Thursday as they traveled to Peabody/Burns and scored a 56-point, 76-20 win.

The Redskins jumped out immediately to a 14-point, 22-8, lead by the end of the first quarter and pushed it out to a commanding 21-point, 38-17, advantage heading into the halftime break. Shutting out the Warriors 25-0 in the third quarter, Little River cruised in for the final 56-point victory.

It helps when the team connects on 62% of their two-point shots while dominating the boards by grabbing 40 total rebounds of which 27 came on the defensive end of the battle.

Logan Renken led the Redskins in scoring with 17 with Andrew Smith and Jaxon Konen also reaching double digits with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Eleven Redskins put both  points and grabbed rebounds by their names in the scorebook led by Andrew Smith and Ty Janette each pulling down six.

Now over .500 for the season at 4-3, Little River will host Rural Vista on Friday.
