LITTLE RIVER SPIKERS SCORE BIG IN PAIR OF WINS

RURAL VISTA – The Little River volleyball powered up on Tuesday and hammered and buried both Rural Vista and Peabody/Burns for a pair of road wins.

Now 15-0 on the season and currently ranked number two in Class 1A Division I by MaxPreps, the Lady Reskins will back on the courts Saturday at the Lyons Invitational.

Against Peabody/Burns, Little River made short work of both matches, winning 25-7 and 25-4.

Kate Ellwood and Evie Look shared directing the offense with 12 and 10 assists, respectively.

It was a true team win as eight Lady Redskins recorded at least one of the teams 18 digs led by Adelynne Strecker and Alaina Eck with four each. Of the 27 kills recorded, Alaina Eck had six, sisters Aubrey and Havana Olander each had five plus Ashley Stephenson and Kami Grasser both recorded four and Lucy Wright had three.

In the match with host Rural Vista, Little River again hammered their way to quick wins, taking set one 25-10 and set two 25-11.

Kate Ellwood had eight assists, Alaina Eck led the Lady Redskins in Kills with eight, and 10 players shared in the team’s 24 digs.
