FELDMAN SCORES 28, LITTLE RIVER BEATS GOESSEL BY 64

            GOESSEL – From the opening tip, host Goessel was plainly out manned and out gunned as the top-ranked team in Class 1A Division I, the Little River girls, hammered away and rolled over the Lady Bluebirds by 64 points, winning 73-9.

            It was all Lady Redskins from the start as they powered out to an 18-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and took a 39-point, 46-7, advantage into the halftime break. After shutting out Goessel 16-0 in the third quarter, Little River settled in and brought home the final 64-point victory.

            Arika Feldman knocked down five three-pointers in scoring a game high 28 points while Havana Olander and Evie Look also reach double digits for the Lady Redskins with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

            Averry Lafferty topped the team on the boards by grabbing six rebounds and Adelynne Strecker made six steals while Feldman, Olander, and Look each swiped five.

            Overall, the Little River offense outscored Goessel in the paint 40-2, while recording a 17-0 edge in second chance points.

            On defense, the Lady Redskins held Goessel to just two field goals while forcing 39 turnovers that included 31 steals which were converted into a 47-0 advantage of points scored from turnovers.

            Now 8-0 for the season, the Lady Redskins will be back on the road Friday at Rural Vista.
