Eck, Feldman Record Double-Doubles

LITTLE RIVER – On Friday, the Little River girls finally thrilled the home crowd in their season hom opener by rolling into their weekend with a resounding 58-8 win over Wakefield.

The Lady Redskins raced out to a 17-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a commanding 29-5 advantage heading into the halftime break. Coming out of the break Little River continued to roll Wakefield to the tune of outscoring them 10-3 in the third quarter and a whopping 19-0 in in the fourth to gain the final 50-point victory.

Little River dominated the boards by pulling down 43 overall of which 21 were on the offensive end of play and 22 were on the defensive side. The team also recorded eight blocks shots with both Arika Feldman and Aubrey Olander getting four each, as well as 19 steals while only turning the ball over four times themselves.

Both Alaina Eck and Feldman scored double-doubles in the game with Eck scoring 17 and Feldman hitting for a dozen while both grabbed 10 rebounds. Eck also led the team in steals with six. Havana Olander also reached double digits with 12 points.

On Tuesday, the Lady Redskins will close out their pre-Christmas portion of the schedule with a road game at Herington.
