ELYRIA – The top-ranked Little River girls continue to roll on Friday as they went on the road and shook off a poor first quarter to bring home a decisive 67-19 win.

Elyria Christian came into the game winners of 10 straight after starting their season just 2-6.

Now 17-0 for the season, the Lady Redskins remain on top of Class 1A Division I as they now prep for a pair of home games next week when Rural Vista comes to Little River on Thursday followed by Inman on Friday.

After only holding a six-point, 16-10, lead over the Lady Eagles, the Lady Redskins erupted for 27 points in eight minutes while holding Elyria to just one, giving Little Rive a commanding 43-11 advantage heading into the halftime break. The final two quarters the Lady Redskins cruised in for the final 48-point victory.

Arika Feldman was the lone Lady Redskin in double digits as she led the team in scoring with 22 while just missing a double double with eight rebounds. Alaina Eck and Aubrey Olander each chipped in with nine points each as Aubrey just missed a double double as well with a team high nine rebounds.

Ten Lady Redskins put at least a pair of points in the scorebook while nine recorded at least one rebound and nine had at least one steal, led by Eck with six swipes.

As a team, Little River dominated the boards, grabbing 34 to just 17 for Elyria. Twenty-two of the rebounds came on the offensive end, setting up numerous second-chance point opportunities.
