HOWARD – Friday, the Little River football team took a road trip to Howard and battled the rain while taking on the top-seed in 8-Man Division I, West Elk, where they came home with a 34-14 upset victory.
With the victory, the Redskins move their season record to 8-2 as they move on to the state quarter-finals on Friday, where they will play host to Central Plains.

On the ground, Jaren Garrison, and Kyler Bergkamp each went over 80 yards with Garrison covering 86 yards on 16 carries and Bergkamp gaining 81 yards on just 10 carries. Renken pitched in with 18 runs of his own which covered 75 yards.
