REDSKINS HUMBLED, LOSE BY 22

LITTLE RIVER -
Little River football was humbled on Friday as Central Plains came to town and beat the Redskins by 22, 44-66.
The game was tied 6-6 at the end of the first quarter before Central Plains took a six-point, 28-22, lead into the halftime break. After Little River tied it back up at 36-36 heading into the fourth quarter, Central Plains put 30 points on the board in the final quarter to get the final 66-44 win over Little Rive.
Offensively, the Redskins totaled 335 yards on 44 snaps with Logan Renken and Jaren Garrison combing to complete 14-of-18 for 133 yards and three scores while Garrison ran for 169 yards and a pair of scores on 12 carries as the team totaled 202 yards running the ball.
Ty Janette had a pair of pass receptions for 57 yards and a pair of scores while Kylar Bergkamp had six receptions for 39 yards and one score.
On defense, Jhet Ewertt recorded 17 total tackles of which 11 were solo stops. Both Logan Konen and Bergkamp scored 10 tackles with Ruxton Birdson and Garrison each having seven.
The Redskins close out the 2024 regular season schedule on Friday with a road game at Solomon.
