The Little River boys, the fourth seed at their Class 1A Division I sub-state, flew by fifth-seeded Goessel, 40-27 on Thursday to advance to the sub-state semi-finals.

Now 11-10 for the season, the Redskins will now play sub-state host and top seeded Solomon (14-6) on Thursday, February 29. Little River lost to Solomon, 43-59, in January.

The Redskins took a six-point, 19-13, lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed the advantage out to eight, 23-15, as the teams went to the halftime break.

Little River extended the lead to 13 by the end of the third quarter before cruising in for the final victory and a trip to the sub-state semi-finals.

Jaxson Konen led the Redskins in scoring with 12 while Logan Renken had an outstanding game across the board, hitting three-pointers and scoring 11, grabbing six rebounds, making three steals, and getting a blocked shot. Ty Janette led Little River in rebounding with seven.
