LADY WILDCATS SPIKERS SWEEP STERLING

MOUNDRIDGE – On Tuesday, the Moundridge volleyball team hosted the Lady Black Bears of Sterling and swept both matches winning four of five sets.


In the first match, the Lady Wildcats scored a straight set win, 25-16 and 26-24 led by Hattie Hecox with seven digs and Cammi Unruh with seven assists. Unruh and Kaelyn Wedel both had five kills and Wedel stuck seven of the Lady Wildcat eight service aces.


It took three sets to win the second match as Sterling got the best of Moundridge in set one, 18-25 before the Lady Wildcats won set two by two points at 25-23 and then took set three by four points, 25-21.


Now an even 12-12 for the season, the Lady Wildcats will play host to Central Christian on Thursday.
