LADY WILDCATS PUT AWAY ELL-SALINE BY 26

BROOKVILLE – Shaking off a sluggish first quarter the Moundridge girls managed to set the course correctly and rattled off a 26-point, 53-27, road win at Ell-Saline on Tuesday.

Leading by just one, 12-11, at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Wildcats put 21 points in the books in the second quarter to take an 18-point, 33-15 lead into the halftime break. After scoring just five points in the third quarter, Moundridge put 15 on the board in the final eight minutes of play to gain the final 26-point victory.

The Lady Wildcats dominated near the basket, picking up 43 rebounds in the game with 17 on the offensive end and 26 on the defensive side.

Cammi Unruh led all scorers with 18 points while grabbing six rebounds and making four steals. Addy Patrick joined here in double digits with 14, thanks to hitting on four three-pointers. The Lady Wildcats hit a total of eight threes in the game.

While Macy Kaminkow may have only scored four points, she  owned the boards by pulling down a game high 13.

Now 9-3 for the season, the Lady Wildcats will travel cross county on Friday to battle rival Inman. The Lady Teutons beat Moundridge last Friday by four points in the championship game of the Sedgwick Tournament.
