LADY WILDCATS DROP PAIR TO MARION

NOW 5-6 ON SEASON

MOUNDRIDGE – On Tuesday, the Moundridge volleyball team played host to Marion who came to town and left with a pair of wins over the Lady Wildcats.

In the first match the Lady Wildcats took Marion to three sets before losing as Marion won the first set 18-25 before Moundridge was able to bounce back and nip the Lady Warriors by two, 25-23 in the second set. Marion earned the win with a four-point, 21-25 victory in set three.

Cammi Unruh led the Lady Wildcats by picking up 13 digs and making 10 kills. Freshman Hallie Hecox had the most assists with nine and Aspyn Stos served up three aces. Addysen Patrick and Kaelyn Wedel also reached double digits in digs with 11 and 10, respectively.

Marion got the best of the Lady Wildcats in the second match as well, winning in straight sets 19-25, 18-25. No individual stats were available.

Now 5-6 on the season, the relatively young Lady Wildcats will look to get some wins on Saturday when they compete at the Fairfield Tournament.
