LADY VIKING SPIKERS SWEEP PAIR AT HOME

LINDSBORG – It was a good day for the Smoky Valley volleyball team on Tuesday as they made a quick, straight set sweep of Larned and Haven on the Lady Vikings home court.

Against Larned, the Lady Vikings won a pair of commanding sets, 25-10 and 25-11 with Adrian Hazelwood getting 15 assists and six digs to lead the team to the victory. Katja Blanchat made eight kills as well.

It was much the same in the nightcap as the Lady Vikings humbled Haven in straight sets, 25-13 and 25-17.

Hazelwood again directed the Lady Viking offense and dished out 21 assists while making time to do eight digs. Hope Duncan made 11 kills and Tinley Scott recorded three blocks.

Now 17-7 for the season, the Smoky Valley spikers will travel to Abilene on Saturday.
